TRACEABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability Project

AGK GROUP is an ethical and responsible company that takes seriously environment issues and the well-being of the population.

We developed through the year several social projects to improve the locals’ quality of lives and to help limit damages on the environment.

Education

SCHOLARSHIP: Every year we pay scholarship fees for 5 students outside Comoros (the kids of our curers, farmers, collectors or employees). We send them in Madagascar or in Senegal to give them an education of quality so they can build a better future for them and their families.

HEALTH

MEDICAL CARE: Every year we help around 50 persons with their medical fees by sending them
in Tanzania or Madagascar. The medical system in Comoros in not able to treat severe diseases and injuries.

LOCAL MEDICAL ACCESS: We send in Mohéli Island, in the villages a doctor once a year to help
people to access to medical cares.

CORONAVIRUS: with the Coronavirus spread, Mohéli borders closed and the island couldn’t get
easily essential food access, we organized the transport and donated essential food such as rice,
sardines cans, sugar and donated to the most impacted villages. We also gave in Moroni, the required
funds to proceed to cleaning and disinfection of the popular areas.

SOCIAL LIFE & BASIC NEEDS

WATER PIPES FUNDING: In the Magueni Village, we funded and installed water pipes to connect the village to the national water network of the country.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION: In Sima Village, so the village can be more accessible and less isolated

Environment

REFORESTATION PROJECT: Nurseries with fast growing trees species implemented on the Mohéli island.

TRACEABILITY

We have fully integrated laboratories in our facilities, both in Madagascar and in Comoros, which allows us to have better control over the quality of our vanilla beans.
